  1. REMINDERPRO HELP: LAUNCHING APPLICATIONS

  3. You can use ReminderPro to launch applications at specific times. This feature can be used, for example, to run AppleScript scripts that perform periodic tasks at specific times. The scripts can be created as applications using the Script Editor application from Apple Computer.

  5. There are two ways of scheduling an application launch:

  7. 窶｢ Select 窶廣n Application Launch窶ｦ窶 from the 窶彜chedule窶 menu.
  8. 窶｢ Click on the application launch button in the reminder list window. This is the second button in the top left corner of the window.

  10. Specifiying an application launch

  12. To schedule an application launch, you need to specify the following information:

  14. 窶｢ Title
  15.  
  16. Every item has a title. A title can be up to 31 characters long.
  17.  
  18. 窶｢ The application
  19.  
  20. This is the application that is to be launched.
  21.  
  22. 窶｢ Time
  23.  
  24. Every item must have a time. This is the time the application is supposed to be launched.

  26. 窶｢ Once/Repeating
  27.  
  28. An application launch can be for once, or repeating. Several options are available for specifying how to repeat a launch.

  30. 窶｢ Group
  31.  
  32. Every item belongs to a group. You specify the group in which the item is to be included.

  34. 窶｢ Sound
  35.  
  36. You can associate one of the built-in sounds for the item. Alternatively, you can record a voice message and associate it with the item. The associated sound is played when the application is launched.

  40. If your computer is shut off at a time when an application is supposed to be launched, it is launched as soon as the computer starts up.
